Ian S. Barnett

Mr. Barnett has been actively involved with Ensyn since 1996 as a Board member and in a range of activities including corporate finance, strategic planning, and business development. Mr. Barnett currently serves as Ensyn’s Chief Financial Officer and is a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Barnett has over 30 years of experience in venture and development capital for growth companies. He initiated his career in banking with TD Bank in Latin America and followed this with five years of investment banking experience with UBS Securities in London where he was the Co-head of Corporate Finance for Nordic Europe. In 1990 Mr. Barnett co-founded Heptagon Investments Ltd., a private equity business specializing in early and mid-stage growth companies. He has served as a Board member of several public and private growth and asset management companies.

​Mr. Barnett holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, and an MBA from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France.
