Brendan Lucey

Brendan Lucey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brendan is currently serving as the Cell and Gene Therapy Committee Chairperson at Bio-Processing Systems Alliance (BPSA), a position they started in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Director of Cross Business Unit Market Strategy at Entegris starting from March 2021. From June 2020 to March 2021, they held the position of Vice President Of Strategic Marketing and Business Development at Gemini Bio. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at Gemini Bio from April 2019 to June 2020. Alongside their roles at Gemini Bio, Brendan was a Board Member at Bio-Process Systems Alliance (BPSA) from November 2018 to March 2021, where they specifically sponsored the Cell and Gene Therapy Committee.

Earlier in their career, Brendan held various positions in the biopharmaceutical industry. Brendan was the Director of Marketing for Pharma and BioPharma at ILC Dover from December 2016 to April 2019. In 2016, they worked as the Sr. Business Development Manager at Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource and from 2013 to 2016, they served as the Manager of BioProcessing Media Mid-Atlantic and Latin America at Sartorius Stedim Biotech. Before joining Sartorius Stedim Biotech, Brendan worked at Lonza, where they held roles in Cell and Gene Therapy Solutions - Mid-Atlantic from January 2012 to January 2013, and in Drug Discovery from May 2010 to January 2012.

Prior to their roles in the biopharmaceutical industry, Brendan worked in the analytical services field. Brendan served as the Director of Business Development and Sales at Analytical Biological Services Inc. from January 2008 to 2010, and as a Senior Business Development Manager from October 2002 to January 2008. At Analytical Biological Services Inc., Brendan was responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing client deals and acted as a scientific liaison between researchers and labs. Brendan also started their career as a Regular Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from September 2001 to September 2002.

Brendan Lucey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Carleton College in 1996. Brendan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Population Biology, Evolution, and Ecology from Emory University from 1998 to 2001. Prior to their college education, they attended Princeton Day School.
