Scott A Olson, PMP, CPSM

Scott A Olson, PMP, CPSM is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project management and program management. Scott has served in various roles at different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 2005, Scott worked as a Traffic Project Manager at Pacific Communications for a year. Scott then joined Amgen in 2006, where they held multiple positions including Project Manager and Production Project Manager. During their time at Amgen, Scott successfully managed various projects and implemented strategies that resulted in significant cost savings and improved project delivery.

In 2014, Scott briefly worked as a Sr. Project Manager at Amgen before joining Santa Barbara Business College in 2015 as an Adjunct Faculty for MBA and Undergraduate Business Programs. Scott taught until 2018 when they transitioned to a new role as Adjunct Faculty/Instructor for Business Communications at California Aeronautical University.

In 2017, Scott also started working as an Adjunct Faculty for the Project Management Program at UCLA Extension. Their dedication to teaching continued until February 2019.

Scott then joined Kite Pharma in 2018 as a Sr. Project Manager for Operational Readiness, where they were responsible for designing and delivering an $80M Viral Vector Manufacturing facility. Scott successfully collaborated with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the readiness of the facility for GMP commercial viral vector manufacturing.

In 2021, Scott took on the role of Program Manager and Associate Director of Program Management at Instil Bio. Scott later moved to Resilience in the same year, serving as the Program Manager and Director of Project Management for Vector Manufacturing.

Currently, Scott is working as an Independent Consultant, utilizing their expertise as a Project Manager. Their wealth of experience in both teaching and executing projects makes him a valuable asset in any project management endeavor.

Scott A Olson, PMP, CPSM has a strong educational background in the field of business and program management. Scott obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Program Management from California State University Channel Islands in 2013. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2007. Additionally, Scott pursued undergraduate studies in Arts, Humanities, and Sciences Studies at Fullerton College.

As for their professional certifications, Scott earned the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISCM) in August 2010. Scott also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in December 2008.
