Emery is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EAC.

Prior to EAC, Emery had a 26-year career at IBM in various research, development, manufacturing, and product management positions. This included seven years in IBM’s Biomedical Systems business unit and two years on special assignment at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center on a project to reverse atherosclerosis by means of extracorporeal depletion of circulatory LDL.

Emery chaired the Industrial Liaison Committee of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC) POCT division, is a past chair of the NCCLS Subcommittee on Data Management and assisted in setting up a standardization effort for middleware data integration.

Emery specializes in corporate strategy development, portfolio and pipeline evaluation, and partnerships in life science and clinical medicine. Since 2012, he has been engaged in large clinical retrospective outcome studies in hospital acquired infections, Sepsis, and multi-drug resistant infectious organisms.

He holds a BS and MS in Physics from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, as well as a Private Pilot license with Instrument, Glider, and Seaplane ratings.
