Martin Wettstein

From 2010 to 2011, Martin Wettstein worked as a Senior Technologist at UBS, where they utilized interdisciplinary IT knowledge to assist colleagues across departments. In 2011, they pursued an Executive MBA at the University of Strathclyde, gaining inspiration and broadening their horizons. From 2012 to 2013, they served as an Innovation and Startup Angel at mcw, helping startup ideas become reality. In 2013, Martin worked as a Freelance Consultant at Nyrstar, focusing on IT Service Management and customization of the ServiceNow platform. Also in 2013, they became a Chief Information Officer at SWICA Organisation de Santé, leading a diverse team and spearheading the digitization of the company. Martin was also a Board Member at Centris AG, a major IT service provider for Swiss health and accident insurers. From 2020 to the present, they have been the CEO and founder of mcw-consulting, offering digital business consultancy in various areas. Additionally, they have held leadership roles, such as Board Member at strat.excellence AG and Client Success Manager at Enterprise Bot. In 2022, Martin joined AutoMate Insurance AG as a Member of the Board.

Martin Wettstein has a diverse education history. In 1995 to 1997, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Zürich. Later, in 1999 to 2000, they pursued a degree in MIO from the University of Zurich. Moving forward, from 2011 to 2013, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategy from the University of Strathclyde. In 2019, they attended the University of St.Gallen and received a VR-CAS HSG-Certificate, becoming a Certified Director for Board Effectiveness. In 2020 to 2021, they pursued a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from the University of St.Gallen. To further enhance their knowledge and skills, in 2021, they attended the EPFL Innovation Park/Startup Campus, completing the Startup Board Academy, Directors Education Program 21.03.
