Benn Konsynski is a highly regarded author, professor, and businessman. He currently teaches in the Executive MBA, Doctoral IS, and Evening MBA programs at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Prior to Goizueta, he spent seven years on the faculty at the Harvard Business School teaching the MBA and Executive MBA programs. He also wrote many cases involving electronic data interchange (EDI), IS partnerships, and the digital marketplace. Prior to Harvard, he was a Professor at the University of Arizona, where he was co-founder of the university’s multi-million dollar group decision support laboratory.
Dr. Konsynski is the author of Information Systems and Decision Processes and has published in such diverse journals such as Management Science, Communications of the ACM, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Communications, MIS Quarterly.
He has served as a consultant on management and technology issues with many organizations including UPS, IBM, AT&T, Texas Instruments, the U.S. Army, the Bank of Montreal,JCPenney, Aetna Insurance Company, Turner Broadcasting Corporation, and Dillard’s Department Stores, among others.
Dr. Konsynski serves on the board of directors at several companies and non-profit organizations such as TESSCO Technologies, Miller-Zell, Nu-Bridges, and The Management Education Alliance.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, and has been a Baxter Research Fellow at Harvard, and Hewlett Fellow at The Carter Center.
