Ben holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Northern Arizona University, with minors in Biology, Mathematics, and Physics.
Ben’s graduate research focused on understanding the physics of organic semiconductor devices, particularly solar cells and photodetectors. During his Ph.D., Ben found that he greatly enjoyed automating data collection, processing, and analysis, which is when he learned Python and decided to transition to a career in scientific software.
