Sweta Girgenrath has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the biotech and medical research industry. Sweta is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Cardiovascular and Neuromuscular Therapeutics at Entrada Therapeutics since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Cardiovascular and Neuromuscular Therapeutic areas at the same company since December 2020.
Before joining Entrada Therapeutics, Sweta worked at UMass Medical School as a Research Associate Professor starting in 2016. From July 2016 to December 2020, they held the role of Director/Associate Research Fellow in the Rare Disease Unit at Pfizer. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor at Boston University from 2007 to 2016.
Sweta began their career in research at Boston Biomedical Research Institute where they worked as an Instructor from August 2005 to October 2007, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from December 2001 to July 2005. Sweta also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital from 2001 to November 2001, and at Penn State University from March 1999 to April 2001.
Throughout their career, Sweta Girgenrath has gained valuable experience and expertise in cardiovascular and neuromuscular therapeutics and has made significant contributions to the field through their research and leadership roles.
Sweta Girgenrath pursued their education at Northeastern University from 1990 to 1997, obtaining a Ph.D in Biology.
