Nezar Raees is a seasoned legal and governance expert currently serving as the Governance Director for the Middle East, Pakistan, and Africa Regional Council of the Entrepreneurs' Organization since July 2016, and as President of the organization. Nezar is also a Board Member of the Central Bank of Bahrain Deposits Protection Scheme Board since May 2012 and has been the Managing Partner at Raees + Co since March 2008, where advisory services include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial activities, and intellectual property. Prior career roles include Head of Legal Affairs at AAJ Holdings Company from March 2005 to February 2008, and Solicitor at Trowers & Hamlins from 2002 to 2006. Nezar holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Kent at Canterbury, along with completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Professional Skills Course (PSC) at respective law institutions.
