Bernard Kinane

Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Associate Chief for Education, Director of Pulmonary Genetics Program, and Director of Pulmonary Function and Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Exercise Laboratory as Mass General for Children. Dr. Kinane is a graduate of the University of Dublin with an MB. He went on to complete his Pediatric Residencies in Dublin and at the University of Texas South Western Medical School. He was appointed Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2000 and now holds several leadership positions including Associate Chief for Education and Director of the Pediatric Sleep Program. Dr. Kinane provides innovative clinical care to patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions and is seen as an international expert on the genetic basis and treatment of interstitial lung diseases, lung developmental abnormalities, and the regulation of breathing.
