David Williams has a wealth of experience in both the nonprofit and real estate industry. As the President & CEO of Entryway (formerly Shelters to Shutters), David focuses on transitioning individuals and families from homelessness to economic self-sufficiency. Prior to this, David served as the President & CEO of Genesys Works and Make-A-Wish America. With a background as the Vice President and COO at Habitat for Humanity International and Executive Director at The Houston Food Bank, David has demonstrated their leadership skills and commitment to making a difference in the community. David holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Entryway

Entryway is a national 501(c)3 organization providing employment and housing opportunities to individuals at risk or experiencing homelessness by engaging real estate/property management leaders and encouraging action within their communities. We work directly in local communities to identify and provide pre-screened, vetted job candidates that match the employment criteria that our Property Management Partners are looking for. The result is an innovative program that provides mentorship for careers in property management, along with full-time employment and housing opportunities for formerly homeless individuals. We assist veterans, domestic violence survivors and other deserving individuals transition from the challenge of being homeless to a life of self-sufficiency.
