David Rainsford

David Rainsford is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Lead Engineer in Author Services at Envato since April 2019, Rainsford has played key roles in developing solutions to streamline the Author onboarding process, mentoring developers, and enhancing system capabilities for various projects. Prior to Envato, Rainsford held multiple positions at the Australian Council for Educational Research from February 2003 to December 2018, including Technical Lead for the ACER Academy, where management of a new software development area was undertaken. Rainsford's earlier career included freelance web development, highlighted by notable projects such as the Black Shoals exhibition website and collaborations with Peter Gabriel's Real World studios. Rainsford holds a Master of Technology in Internet and Web Computing from RMIT University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Essex.
