Joel Basken

Joel Basken has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Joel is currently serving as the Director of Operations, Platform at Enveda Biosciences since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Platform Operations Manager at the same company from September 2021 to December 2021, and as a Product Manager from August 2021 to September 2021.

Before their time at Enveda Biosciences, Joel worked at Arpeggio Bio, where they held the position of Commercial Partnership Lead from April 2020 to July 2021. In this role, they managed partner research projects and engaged in business development activities. Joel also worked as a Principal Scientist and Scientist at Arpeggio Bio, focusing on research and development.

Prior to that, Joel worked as a Research Technician at AGSTAT Agricultural Consultants, where they conducted field research on crop cultivation and treatment, generating project reports for seed and pesticide companies.

Joel Basken completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2001 to 2006. Joel then pursued further education and received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2010 and 2017.
