Mat Maddocks

Mat Maddocks is a seasoned professional in the (re)insurance and property development sectors, currently serving as SVP Operations at Envelop Risk since August 2023, focusing on cyber (re)insurance. As the Founder of Develop Safe since January 2020, Mat provides risk management advice to homeowners undertaking renovation and development projects. With extensive experience as a Property Developer since January 2004, Mat has successfully developed residential properties for both resale and rental in Birmingham and London. Prior to these roles, Mat was a Senior Executive in the London (Re)Insurance Market for over 22 years, working with insurance companies, Lloyd's syndicates, brokers, and technology service providers, specializing in strategy execution during periods of change and growth. Mat holds a Master's degree from the University of Cambridge, a Diploma in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
