Prashant Praveen

Prashant Praveen is an accomplished professional in the field of sustainability and bioprocess engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Sustainability at EnviroNZ since August 2022, Prashant previously held multiple roles at Rotorua Lakes Council, including Manager of Waste & Climate Change and Waste Services & Sustainability Manager, where responsibilities included managing waste services and promoting recycling initiatives. With a solid foundation in bioprocess development from Scion and the National University of Singapore, Prashant has contributed significant innovations in resource recovery, biogas upgrading, and bioproducts. Holding a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and a B.Tech. in Biotechnology, Prashant combines technical expertise with a commitment to environmental sustainability.
