Samuel Lau

Samuel Lau has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Samuel most recently served as the Director of Business Development for Municipalities, Energy, and Airports at Environics Analytics since May 2021. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Account Executive & Director at Adastra. Before that, they held the position of Senior Pension Analyst at Willis Towers Watson from 2014 to 2018. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Pension Analyst at Morneau Shepell. In 2010, they gained experience as an Actuarial Analyst (Co-op) at Markel Insurance of Canada. Samuel'searliest work experience was as a Franchisee at ACTION WINDOW CLEANERS in 2007.

Samuel Lau, MMA completed their Master's degree in Management Analytics at Queen's University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Samuel has also acquired certifications such as CPSA Member from the Canadian Professional Sales Association in March 2021 and completed courses on Learning SQL Programming from Lynda.com, Data Manipulation in R with dplyr, and Introduction to Spark in R using sparklyr from DataCamp.
