Tony Bursey

Vice President, Data Build Automation at Environics Analytics

Tony Bursey has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Tony started their career in 1994 as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Compusearch, where they developed various software products for clients in different industries. Tony then moved on to MapInfo Compusearch Group in 2000 as a Director of Website and Internet Development, responsible for the administration and maintenance of corporate websites and the development of internet/intranet services. In 2002, they joined Mapfusion Inc. as a New Product Development Manager until 2007.

In 2007, Bursey joined Environics Analytics as a Senior Software Developer. Over the years, they held various positions including Vice President of Product Partnerships, Vice President of Site Modeling, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Data Build Automation.

Additionally, Bursey has been involved in non-profit organizations such as MTCC 843, where they served as a Board Member from 1998 to 2003, and The Ride to Conquer Cancer, where they participated as a fundraiser in 2011.

Tony Bursey, CAIP obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Ryerson University between the years 1990 and 1994. Additionally, they have acquired the certification of Certified Analytics and Insights Professional from CAIP Canada in 2022. Tony has also completed various online courses, including "Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action" from LinkedIn in 2019 and several courses from Esri, such as "Do-It-Yourself Geo Apps" in 2017, "Location Advantage" in 2015, and "Spatial Analysis" in 2014.
