Cari Pick

Cari Pick, PhD, is a Social and Behavioral Scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund since February 2022, focusing on research related to environmental issues, motivations for pro-environmental behavior, and science communication. Prior to this, Cari served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar and Doctoral Student at Arizona State University from August 2015 to February 2022, specializing in social psychology and intergroup relations. Cari's experience includes working as a Technical Trainer and Environment Volunteer with the Peace Corps in Paraguay, where initiatives included environmental education and community clean-ups. Additionally, Cari coordinated educational programs for A Todo Pulmón Paraguay Respira to promote environmental awareness. Academic credentials include a PhD and MA in Social Psychology from Arizona State University and a BA in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame.
