Senior Analyst, Wildfire Resilience at Environmental Defense Fund

Chloe Schneider is a Senior Analyst for Wildfire Resilience at the Environmental Defense Fund since June 2021, where responsibilities include leading California state policy, communications, partnerships, and analytical research within the Forests Initiative. Previously, Chloe served as an Analyst focused on Climate Resilient Temperate Forests, addressing threats to temperate forests and advocating for long-term ecosystem resiliency. Prior experience includes acting as the NASA DEVELOP National Program Research Team Lead, where interdisciplinary research utilized NASA Earth observations to tackle environmental and public policy issues. Chloe also worked as a researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a NSF-funded project studying carbon dioxide movement in alpine ecosystems and served as a camp counselor for RiverLink, promoting environmental education among youth. Chloe holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and a B.A. in Geography, with a minor in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
