Jon Goldstein

Jon Goldstein is an accomplished professional in the field of energy policy, currently serving as Associate Vice President of Energy Transition at the Environmental Defense Fund since July 2012, where Goldstein leads efforts to reduce methane emissions from oil and gas across North America. Previous roles include Senior Director and Director of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs at EDF, focusing on air and water quality regulations, and Senior Energy Policy Manager at the American Wind Energy Association, managing strategic communications. Goldstein has also held significant positions within the New Mexico state government, including Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources, and Deputy Secretary of the Environment Department. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Trinity College-Hartford.
