Kate Courtin

Kate Courtin currently serves as a Senior Manager for State Climate Policy & Strategy at the Environmental Defense Fund since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kate held various positions at The Nature Conservancy from October 2016 to June 2023, culminating in the role of Deputy Director of Climate Mitigation in New York. Earlier experience includes a Program Manager position at The Horinko Group and several roles at Students of Georgetown, Inc., including Chair of the Green Initiative. Additionally, Kate worked as a Student Contractor at the US Environmental Protection Agency. Educationally, Kate is a candidate for a Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate at Johns Hopkins University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, along with a pre-collegiate education from Phillips Exeter Academy.
