Shira Copans

Shira Copans is an experienced professional with a significant background in executive support and leadership roles within prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Director of the Executive Office at the Environmental Defense Fund since June 2020, Shira previously held the position of Senior Executive Assistant to the President. Prior to this role, Shira led the Executive Office at the World Jewish Congress from April 2013 to March 2020 and oversaw the Governing Bodies & Donor Countries Unit at World ORT from March 2005 to April 2013, where Shira also served as Executive Assistant to the CEO. Educational qualifications include an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand, complemented by matriculation from King David.
