Tyler Abernethy

Tyler Abernethy currently serves as the Operations Manager, Principal & Major Gifts at the Environmental Defense Fund since March 2023. Previously, Tyler was the Philanthropy Manager at the Center for Responsible Lending from July 2021 to March 2023, leading individual giving efforts and managing donor engagement. Earlier professional experience includes roles such as Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator at the Duke University Talent Identification Program, Constituent Management Coordinator at the NBCC Foundation, and Assessment Specialist at ResCare Workforce Services. Tyler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Statistics from Appalachian State University and has completed graduate coursework in Social Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
