Eric Derstine

Eric Derstine is an experienced landscape professional with a diverse background in project management, design, and horticulture. Currently serving as an Associate Project Manager and Land Planner at Environmental Design Group since May 2022, Eric also operates Derstine Landscapes, providing comprehensive landscape services to homeowners in the Triangle Region. Previous roles include Landscape Designer at Renz Landscapes and Field Manager at Ruppert Landscape, where responsibilities encompassed managing teams and client relationships while ensuring quality service. Earlier positions include Horticulture Extension Agent at North Carolina State University, where Eric managed the Pitt County Arboretum and provided horticultural services, and Farm Manager at Peaceful Valley Tree Farm, overseeing nursery operations. Eric holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Plant Sciences from Penn State University.
