Robert Swam

Robert Swam has a diverse work experience in the environmental field. Robert started their career at Bel Air Athletic Club as a Summer Camp Counselor from June 2011 to August 2013. Robert then interned at Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection as a Biological Monitoring Intern from June 2014 to August 2014.

In 2013, Robert joined the University of Maryland as a Media Relations Student Assistant and worked there until May 2015. During their time at Chesapeake Environmental Management, Inc., they held multiple positions. Robert started as an intern from June 2015 to August 2015, then became a Staff Scientist from August 2015 to February 2019. As a Staff Scientist, they assisted senior staff with field data collection and processing, working on various tasks such as wetland delineations and herptafauna surveys.

Later, Robert transitioned to the role of an Environmental Scientist at Chesapeake Environmental Management, Inc. from February 2019 to October 2019. Here, they planned and led field delineations, prepared reports and Joint Permit Applications, and reviewed current Joint Permit Applications on behalf of Maryland state agencies.

Currently, Robert Swam works at Rodgers Consulting as an Environmental Project Manager / Associate since January 2022.

Robert Swam attended the University of Maryland from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science and Technology. In June 2019, they obtained a certification as a Qualified Professional (QP) from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
