Ann Mesnikoff

Federal Legislative Director at Environmental Law & Policy Center

Ann Mesnikoff serves as the Federal Legislative Director at the Environmental Law & Policy Center since May 2017, following a role as Democratic Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Previously, Ann held the position of Associate Director, Federal Government Relations at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and directed the Green Transportation Campaign at Sierra Club, where accomplishments included securing fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas standards. Consultant experience with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation focused on the Anacostia River Initiative, and earlier roles included lobbying for the Sierra Club and advocacy at the Center for Auto Safety. Ann began a legal career as a Law Clerk for Judge Richard S. Salzman. Educationally, Ann holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.
