Altaf Hussain

Altaf Hussain has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles.

Altaf started their career as a PC Technician at DataConnect in 1999 and then worked as a General Manager at Denny's Restaurant in 2001.

In 2002, they joined Spherion Technology as a PC Technician.

From 2003 to 2008, they worked at IDEO and IDEO Product Development, initially as a Technical Support and later as a Technical Engineer, providing support to a user population of over 400.

In 2008, they joined WR Hambrecht as a Desktop Administrator and then transitioned to the role of System Administrator, responsible for supporting HP and Dell servers as well as performing troubleshooting and virtualization using VM Ware.

In 2013, they joined Environmental Science Associates as a System Administrator, where they built and deployed a Server 2012 Hyper-V Failover Cluster and managed over 80 virtual machines.

Altaf'smost recent position was at GT Nexus, where they worked as a Sr Systems Administrator since 2014. In this role, they managed corporate servers and systems, including Active Directory, Single Sign-On instances, and the Office 365 environment for 1000+ users. Altaf also administered the VMWare environment and deployed SCCM Operations Manager.

Altaf Hussain's education history begins with their attendance at Castro Valley High School from 1992 to 1996. After completing high school, they enrolled in California State University - East Bay in 1996. Altaf pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and graduated in 2001.

In 2007, Altaf Hussain obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from Unitek Education. Later that year, they also earned the MCSE Server 2003 certification from Microsoft.
