Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Environmental Science Associates

Stacey Marion has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Stacey started their career as a Research Assistant at Colgate University in 2011 and then transitioned to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they worked as a Research Assistant and later as an Associate Research Specialist in the Department of Agronomy. In 2016, Stacey joined Adaptive Restoration LLC as a Restoration Ecologist, where they stayed until February 2021.

In 2020, Stacey took on two concurrent roles. Stacey worked as a Junior Team Coach at MADISON NORDIC SKI CLUB from September 2020 to March 2021, while also pursuing their graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a Graduate Student, they focused on their studies from May 2020 to August 2021.

Stacey then moved on to HDR ENGINEERING, INC, where they worked as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst from December 2021 to June 2023. Currently, they are employed at Environmental Science Associates as a GIS Analyst, starting in June 2023.

Throughout their career, Stacey has demonstrated expertise in GIS analysis and ecological restoration. Their research experience, combined with their coaching and leadership roles, showcases their versatility and commitment to both academia and practical environmental work.

Stacey Marion's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Colgate University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Stacey completed their undergraduate studies in 2011. Following this, Stacey went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison starting in 2012 and completed their Master of Science degree in Agroecology in 2015. Stacey's educational journey continued as they returned to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursued a second Master of Science degree, this time in Geographic Information Science and Cartography, from 2020 to 2021.
