Edward O'Connor

Edward O'Connor is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across public and academic sectors. Currently serving as the Lead GIS Analyst at the Texas Department of Transportation since November 2019, Edward oversees geospatial efforts, recruits, and supervises GIS staff, while delivering presentations to key stakeholders. Previously, as the GeoAnalyst Coordinator at The University of Texas at Austin, Edward managed spatial datasets and administered ArcGIS Enterprise. Edward's earlier experience includes managing the GeoMap project at the Capital Area Council of Governments and serving as a GIS Coordinator at GrantWorks, Inc. Edward began the career with internship roles focusing on GIS analysis and environmental research, holding a B.A. in Geography and the Environment from The University of Texas at Austin.
