Hasan Ekrem Zumrut

Hasan Ekrem Zumrut has a strong background in research and academia, with experience in various roles and institutions. Hasan Ekrem is currently a Research Scientist at Envisagenics, where they began as a Junior Research Scientist before being promoted. Prior to that, Hasan worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Discovery and Innovation. Hasan Ekrem also has experience at Lehman College, where they worked as an Adjunct Lecturer and a Graduate Research Assistant. During their time at Lehman College, Hasan developed a novel ligand discovery platform and conducted research on muscle development and differentiation using zebrafish as a model organism. Before their time at Lehman College, Hasan worked as a Research Assistant at Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi, where they performed enzymatic activity studies and conducted western-blot analysis to study pollution in the West Black Sea coast of Turkey. Hasan Ekrem Zumrut completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi from 2005 to 2009. Hasan Ekrem then pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry at The City College of New York from 2010 to 2013. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where they studied from 2013 to 2020.
