Honest Makamba

Honest Makamba currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Battolyser Systems, focusing on the development of stable iron electrodes for the alkaline Battolyser, a hybrid battery and electrolyser technology. Prior experience includes work as an Electrochemist at LITRICITY GmbH, where charge/discharge testing and development of novel POM electrolytes aimed at enhancing redox flow battery capacity were conducted. As a Research Engineer at FaradaIC Sensors, Honest Makamba specialized in miniaturized electrochemical gas sensors and surface modification techniques. Additional roles include a Staff Scientist position at NanoSpy, Inc., developing graphitic electrodes for immunosensors, and a Research Scientist role at Razzberry, Inc., where solid-state miniaturized electrodes for portable electrochemical microsensors were developed. Honest Makamba holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
