Dhinakaran Sambandan

Dhinakaran Sambandan has a diverse work experience in the fields of scientific research and medical writing. Dhinakaran started their career as a Junior Research Fellow at the Tuberculosis Research Center, Indian Council of Medical Research in 2003. Dhinakaran then went on to work as a Graduate Researcher at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2005 to 2012. During this time, they also served as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, Dhinakaran joined Envision Pharma Group as a Medical Writer and later worked with Lucid as a Medical Writer. Dhinakaran returned to Envision Pharma Group in 2017 and held various positions including Senior Medical Writer, Associate Scientific Director, Scientific Director & Team Lead, and currently serves as the Senior Scientific Director & Team Lead.

Dhinakaran Sambandan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which they obtained from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Madras between 2000 and 2002. Dhinakaran began their academic journey by pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology, General from the University of Madras from 1998 to 2000.
