Loubna Bouarfa

Loubna Bouarfa is a prominent expert in applied artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Lecturer in Applied AI and Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge since April 2024. Bouarfa also holds the position of Chairwoman of the AI Innovation Board at Envision Pharma Group and is a member of the Board of Advisors at the Oxford Internet Institute. Previously, Bouarfa founded and served as CEO of OKRA.AI, a leading AI firm in the life sciences sector, and was a high-level expert for the European Commission on artificial intelligence policymaking. With experience advising global consulting firms and a background in predictive analytics and machine learning, Bouarfa's work encompasses a blend of technology, business, and social responsibility aimed at enhancing societal welfare through ethical AI applications. Bouarfa holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Signal Processing from Delft University of Technology.
