Abdul Jalil Macauley has a diverse work experience in the IT industry, starting as a Sr Technical Support Analyst at Thomson Reuters in 2002. Abdul Jalil then transitioned to IBM as a GTS, Mobility Services where they provided technical support for Clarivate Analytics users. Abdul also worked at USPTO as a Service Desk Analyst before moving to the U.S. Department of Commerce as a System Specialist. Most recently, they were a Senior IT Support Specialist at Curative and is currently working as a Support Specialist III (Tech Lead) at Enviva. In 1999, they founded Jmac Innovations LLC where they serve as the Chief Executive Officer.

Abdul Jalil Macauley obtained a high school diploma from T.C. Williams High School in 1999. Abdul Jalil then attended Northern Virginia Community College from 2002 to 2003, studying Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Later on, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2016 to 2018. Presently, Abdul is working towards a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology at Strayer University, where they are expected to graduate in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ and Azure Active Directory: Basics, to further enhance their skills in the field.
