Katherine Yenko

Katherine Yenko is a seasoned Senior Research Associate currently working at Envivo Bio since September 2023, previously holding the same title at Pendulum Therapeutics where responsibilities included managing sequencing platforms and bioreactor processes. Prior to this, Katherine served as a Microbiome Construction Specialist at Stanford University, focusing on engineering custom anaerobic communities and developing scalable cell banking methods. Katherine's academic background includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Northeastern University, where contributions involved screening environmental bacteria for antimicrobial properties and investigating the impact of cranberry compounds on microbiome composition. Additionally, Katherine interned at Kaleido Biosciences researching microbial glycan utilization profiles and contributed to donor drives as a Campus Ambassador for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Katherine earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Economics from Northeastern University and graduated cum laude.
