Monica Bastola

Monica Bastola has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to present. Monica started as a Student Research Assistant for Dr. James D in 2009 and for Dr. Pedro Derosa in 2007. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Georgia-Pacific LLC as a Quality Supervisor and Process Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for chemical and new product trials on paper machines, worked with bleached board business, and dealt with cost optimizing projects. Monica also worked as a process engineer in the power plant dealing with PSM regulatory audit. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at WestRock Company as a Sourcing Manager, Capital and Sr. Process Engineer. Since 2015, they have been working at Envoy Development as an Executive Director and Manager, Process Reliability and Business Development.

Monica Bastola has a comprehensive educational background. Monica obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University between 2006 and 2009. Monica then earned a Masters in Engineering Management from the same institution between 2009 and 2012. In 2014, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Executive MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including a Green Belt Certification from MeadWestvaco in 2014, a Green Belt Certification from Louisiana Tech University in 2013, a Lean Certification from MeadWestvaco in 2013, and a Fundamentals of Engineering Intern from Louisiana in 2009.
