Dr. Ryan Samuels

Dr. Ryan Samuels has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Dr. Ryan is currently working as the Head of Growth at Eolas Medical, where they are responsible for implementing sales activities and strategies to achieve growth targets. Dr. Ryan also builds and nurtures strong relationships with key clients. Prior to this role, they worked as a Javascript Engineer at Eolas Medical.

Dr. Samuels is also the Co-Founder & Developer of dotKid, an app for pediatric teaching and training for clinicians. Dr. Ryan'srole involves app development using Javascript and React Native, as well as UI/UX prototyping.

At the University of Nottingham, Dr. Samuels served as an Academic Clinical Fellow in Clinical Radiology. Dr. Ryan utilized their clinical knowledge to develop software solutions for clinicians and improve the efficiency and safety of clinical care.

Dr. Ryan has also worked as a Locum Emergency Medicine Doctor at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and as a Freelance Medical Writer, specializing in patient educational material and scientific literature searches. Earlier in their career, Dr. Samuels held positions such as a Locum Core Trainee Doctor at City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and a Foundation Doctor at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In addition to their medical work, Dr. Samuels has had involvement in medical education and student leadership roles. Dr. Ryan served as the Deputy Chair of the UK Medical Students Committee at the British Medical Association, where they led the committee's education work and represented the interests of medical students at a national level. Dr. Ryan also worked as a Local Lead Investigator for the Medical Student Investigators Collaborative, contributing to peer-reviewed academic medical education publications.

Outside of their professional roles, Dr. Samuels has provided personal tutoring in academic subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology, assisting students with exam preparation and university applications.

Dr. Ryan Samuels brings a wide range of skills and experiences to their work, combining their medical expertise with software development, leadership, and education.

Dr. Ryan Samuels completed their undergraduate education at Newcastle University from 2011 to 2017, where they obtained an MB BS (Hons) degree in Medicine. During their time at Newcastle University, they also pursued a Master's Degree in MRes Translational Medicine & Therapeutics from 2015 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Samuels has obtained several certifications related to mathematics for machine learning. These certifications include "Mathematics for Machine Learning Specialization" from Coursera, obtained in July 2021, "Mathematics for Machine Learning: PCA" from Coursera, obtained in July 2021, "Mathematics for Machine Learning: Linear Algebra" from Coursera, obtained in June 2021, and "Mathematics for Machine Learning: Multivariate Calculus" from Coursera, obtained in June 2021.
