Chris Thornton has extensive work experience in human resources. Chris began their career as a Human Resources Officer at Campbell's Grocery Products in 2002. Chris then served as a Human Resources Manager at Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres, where they focused on negotiation, employee relations, and learning sessions. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Pullman Fleet Services, providing HR support across multiple sites and specializing in union negotiation and culture change. Chris continued their HR career at AVG Technologies UK Ltd, first as an HR Manager from 2008 to 2014, implementing an HR infrastructure to drive performance improvements and managing organizational change. Chris then became an HR Business Partner at AVG Technologies in 2013. Chris furthered their HR expertise at Pearson TQ from 2014 to 2016, taking on the role of Human Resources Manager, overseeing HR operational activities and managing a team. Chris later established their own business, HR Kit Limited, as a Business Owner before joining Traffic Management Services Ltd as an HR Manager from 2018 to 2019. Chris then transitioned to Digital Space, where they served as a People Advisor from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Human Resources at EORI (UK) Limited, which they assumed in October 2022.
Chris Thornton completed a Diploma in Personnel Management from De Montfort University in 1995-1996. Chris then went on to earn a BA(HONS) in Business Studies from the University of the West of England from 1987-1991. Prior to this, they attended Wellingborough School from 1978-1984. Chris also obtained the certification "MCIPD" from CIPD, but the month and year of obtaining it were not provided.
