Job Summary: The Head of Finance, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, will play a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic planning of our company. This position requires a combination of accounting expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal activities including accounting processes, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strategic Planning & Analysis:
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining long-term business plans.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors.
• Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and develop the finance team to support business objectives.
  • Ensure clear communication and understanding of financial results and strategies.
• Process Improvement & Technology Integration:
  • Streamline accounting processes through technology integration and system improvements.
  • Leverage data and analytics to drive financial performance.
• Stakeholder Relations:
  • Communicate financial information to the CEO, COO and executive team.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to advise on financial implications of business decisions.
  • Prepare materials and present financial reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant in a similar environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), procedures, and legislation.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
