Andrew Hellen is a seasoned aerospace engineering professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Sierra Space since January 2022, focusing on space exploration initiatives. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Ampaire as Director of Systems Engineering, and at Aerion Supersonic as Vice President of Cockpit and Subsystems, among other positions spanning over two decades in various engineering capacities across reputable organizations such as D3 Technologies, Learjet Inc, Gulfstream Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and DARA. Andrew Hellen holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Engineering Technology from the University of Central Lancashire, along with specialized training in aeronautical design and a background in electrical and avionics engineering.
