Craig Atkin

Craig Atkin has a significant amount of work experience in various leadership and managerial roles in the energy and engineering industries. Craig has worked at EP UK Investments Ltd as the Northern Ireland Operations Director starting from October 2023. Prior to that, they held positions at Optilan, where they served as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and later as the Engineering and Technology Director. At Optilan, they were responsible for developing strategies, plans, and forecasts to achieve growth and profitability. Craig also played a key role in strengthening the engineering team, progressing the rail design team, and collaborating with Dark Pulse on sensor technology projects. Before Optilan, Atkin worked at E.ON UK as a Power Station Manager and Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for managing projects, ensuring compliance, and delivering plant performance. Craig also worked at Uniper as a Lead Firing Engineer and Lead Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer, where they led teams and implemented changes to improve efficiency and deliver cost savings. At E.ON UK, they also served as a Process Optimisation Lead Engineer and Mechanical Boiler Engineer.

Craig Atkin completed their BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Derby from 2006 to 2008. Craig then pursued an MSc in Project Management at The University of Manchester, which they completed from 2010 to 2015.
