Instructional Design Lead Learning Development Specialist at EPAM Continuum

Katharine Hodgdon, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning different fields. Starting in 2019, they worked at EPAM Continuum as an Instructional Design (Lead Learning & Development Specialist), where they were responsible for creating engaging learning activities and instructional assets for clients such as Google. Katharine also developed assessment methods and maintained project documentation. In 2021, they became an Adjunct Professor at Southwestern University, where they developed course material, conducted assessments, and provided feedback to students. Prior to that, from March 2019 to October 2019, they worked at rĀthe™ as a Data Researcher & Instructional Designer, where they conducted needs analysis and created virtual training materials for app development. Katharine also synthesized various documents for print media and presentations.

Katharine Hodgdon, Ph.D. has a comprehensive education history that spans several prestigious institutions. Katharine completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Bowling Green State University from 2007 to 2012. Following this, they pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Communication, General at Central Michigan University from 2012 to 2015. Katharine continued their educational journey at Texas A&M University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Communication, General from 2014 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Katharine has also obtained several certifications. Katharine received a certification in Executive Coaching from LinkedIn in June 2021. In February 2020, they obtained multiple certifications from LinkedIn, including Google Docs Advanced Tips and Tricks, Google Drive Advanced Tips and Tricks, Google Sheets Advanced Tips and Tricks, and Google Sheets: Pivot Tables. In January 2020, they completed certifications in Inclusive Instructional Design, Presenting Technical Information with Stories, and Tactics for Learner Engagement. Finally, in October 2019, they acquired a certification in Agile Foundations from LinkedIn.
