Sharmin Rahman

Sharmin Rahman, PhD, is a Power System Engineer with extensive experience in the field of Power Systems Engineering. Currently employed at EPEC Group since September 2025, Sharmin previously held the same position at Nordex Group from November 2022 to September 2025. Sharmin completed a PhD research project at Deakin University from October 2018 to December 2023, focusing on a Synchrophasor Project funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) in collaboration with industry partners such as NOJA Power Switchgear and AEMO. Earlier experience includes an internship at NOJA Power, a math tutoring role at Ezy Math Tutoring Pty Ltd, and a CSO trainee position at Brotherhood of St Laurence. Sharmin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2012-2016) and a Higher School Certificate in Science from Holy Cross College, Bangladesh (2010-2011).
