Michael Nischan

Michael Nischan has extensive experience in transportation and logistics risk control. Michael started their career at EPIC as the VP of Transportation & Logistics Risk Control in 2000. In this role, they provided strategic consulting services to motor carriers, logistics companies, law firms, and business partners. Michael also focused on improving compliance with regulations and identifying ways to strengthen vulnerabilities to losses. In 2014, they transitioned to The McCart Group, an EPIC company, where they continued to lead the Transportation & Logistics Risk Control practice until the company merged with a California-based insurance brokerage.

Michael Nischan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Lenoir-Rhyne University. In addition to their degree, they hold certifications in Certified Cargo Security Professional (CCSP) and Certified Director of Safety (CDS), both obtained from the North American Transportation Management Institute. Michael also has an OSHA Authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer certification, obtained through the Georgia Tech Research Institute.
