Nitin Mukul is an American visual artist of Indian descent currently based in New York City. With a career spanning over two decades, Nitin has held various roles, including Co-founder and Creative Director of Epicenter-NYC, which connects New Yorkers with news and local information. Nitin has extensive experience in graphic design and motion graphics, having worked for prominent organizations like The Wall Street Journal and Fox News Channel. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Painting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and additional studies at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. Nitin Mukul’s artistic practice explores the intersection of painting and video as a durational experience across multiple platforms and locations.

Epicenter NYC
Epicenter-NYC is a weekly community newsletter, born out of the need to connect neighbors during the pandemic. In addition, we have a volunteer-led initiative to help our neighbors get vaccinated; we have scheduled thousands of appointments for those in need. Epicenter is part of URL media, a multi-platform network of high-performing Black and Brown media organizations, with a shared goal of uplifting, respecting and loving the communities they serve.
