Krispin Leydon

Consulting Product UI/UX Designer at Epicore Biosystems

Krispin Leydon is a seasoned product UI/UX designer with years of experience in different organizations. Most recently, they worked for Epicore Biosystems as a Consulting Product UI/UX Designer, where they adapted technologies used by professional athletes for wearable/mobile platforms to protect industrial workers in the era of climate change. Previously, they were a Principal UI/UX Designer at Doosan GridTech, where they designed software that enables people to visualize, predict, and respond to opportunities in energy markets. Prior to that, Krispin served as a Senior Interaction Designer at Pixar Animation Studios, where they designed and refined tools used by artists studio-wide. Krispin also worked for Angaza Design, where they designed and developed web/mobile/sms/embedded systems for off-grid markets for pay-as-you-go solar electric lighting to compete with kerosene on price. Earlier in their career, they were Lead Interaction Designer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, Lead UI Designer / Firmware Developer at Tesla Motors, and worked in product design and concept prototyping at Synaptics. Krispin started their career as a Research Officer at the Interaction Design Centre, where they designed experimental user interfaces and researched self-organizing networks. Krispin also worked as a web design/developer at TAEdge and Animation Assistant at Dartmouth Animation & Film Studies.

Krispin Leydon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering with Cum Laude honors from Dartmouth College between 1995 and 2000. The same year, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in User Interface Design from Thayer School at Dartmouth College. Leydon attained a Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Interaction Design from the University of Limerick from 2001 to 2004. Before going to college, Leydon attended Buckingham Friends School from 1983 to 1991, followed by George School from 1991 to 1995. It is unclear if they obtained any degrees while attending these schools.
