Matthew Marunde has a diverse work experience in scientific research and data analysis. Matthew started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Eastern Illinois University from January 2011 to May 2013. Matthew then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University from July 2013 to July 2014. Following this, they joined the University of New Hampshire as a Data Analytics Technician from August 2014 to December 2014. Matthew then transitioned to PerkinElmer, Inc., where they held various positions including Research Associate II from October 2014 to April 2016, Senior Research Associate from April 2016 to December 2016, and finally as an Application Scientist from December 2016 to July 2017. Currently, they are employed at EpiCypher, Inc., where they started as a Research Associate III in August 2017 and later progressed to the roles of Research Scientist I from February 2018 to November 2018, Research Scientist II from November 2018 to December 2022, and currently as the Associate Director of Automation, starting from January 2023.

Matthew commenced their academic journey in 2009 at Eastern Illinois University, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2013. Following this accomplishment, Matthew further fueled their intellectual curiosity by enrolling at Northwestern University in 2013. Matthew successfully completed their Master's Degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences in 2014, expanding their knowledge in the specialized field. Matthew's unwavering commitment to academic excellence propelled him to pursue a higher level of education, leading him to the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2021. Matthew is currently working towards earning their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry, displaying their passion for understanding the intricate workings of biological processes at a molecular level.
