Carl Thomé

Carl Thomé is a seasoned professional in music informatics and machine learning with extensive experience across various technology roles. Currently serving as a Music Informatics Engineer at Epidemic Sound since November 2022, Carl leads the development of advanced soundtracking capabilities and has successfully shipped an innovative audio engine. Previous roles include Machine Learning Engineer at XLN Audio, where Carl focused on percussion instrument classification, and Music Machine Learning Specialist at Epidemic Sound, responsible for pioneering machine learning applications within the company. With a strong foundation in deep learning from positions at Peltarion and DoReMIR Music Research AB, and a background in software development and education, Carl possesses a comprehensive skill set backed by a Master's degree in Theoretical Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
