Joakim Sarnelid

Joakim Sarnelid is the Vice President of Engineering at Epidemic Sound. Joakim has over two decades of experience in the software engineering field.

Sarnelid began their career at Ooyala in August 2015. Joakim served as the Vice President of Engineering, leading the Ad-Tech, Media Logistics and Big Data engineering teams. Joakim was also the site leader for the Stockholm office.

In their role at Ooyala, Sarnelid was responsible for the delivery of high-quality software according to roadmap, workforce planning, and coordinating software engineering efforts between globally distributed teams. Joakim also collaborated with product directors and other R&D leaders to set overall product strategy for Ooyala.

Sarnelid left Ooyala in June 2017 to join Epidemic Sound as their Vice President of Engineering.

Joakim Sarnelid has a M.Sc. in Media Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Their manager is Per-Anders Legeryd, CTO.
