Maria Giannakaki has a wealth of work experience, starting in 2008 as a Seasonal Promoter at Proximity ZZ.DOT Greece. In the same year, they also worked as a Summer Intern in the role of Support to the Product Manager at City Contact. From 2010 to 2018, they were an Operations Lead at Athens Walking Tours, where they proposed and established systematic processes of online reservations, call center and customer service, administered daily online reservations and customer service on a 24/7 basis, supervised and coordinated partners, tabulated and sent billing data to the Accounting Department, and ensured prompt issuing of invoices. In 2013, they were a Peer Learning Facilitator at DEREE-The American College of Greece. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at The Libra Group, US Hotels Group and Grace Hotels as a Marketing Intern, and at Grace Hotels as an Operations and Administrative Intern. In 2017, they were an Account Executive-Travel Coordinator at White Key Villas. From 2018 to 2021, they were an Operations Manager at Athens Walking Tours, and is currently a Senior Customer Success Consultant and Customer Success Consultant at Epignosis Learning Technologies.
Maria Giannakaki has an extensive education history. Maria began their educational journey in 2005 when they obtained their High School Diploma from 4th General High School. In 2008, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International and European Studies from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. Maria continued their studies at The American College of Greece, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management & International Tourism and Hospitality Management in 2016. In 2014, they completed an exchange program at Pukyong National University, International Summer School. Maria also obtained a BBA International Study Abroad from Emory University - Goizueta Business School in 2014.
